This summer is looking like it just may be the summer for some great t.v. entertainment! On June 16 at 9pm out girl Ms. Jada Pinkett-Smith will join the likes of Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) and Holly Hunter (Saving Grace) with her own television sitcom entitled HawthoRNe. I wasn't sure why the name was looking the way it looked with the R and the N being capatalized but then I realized just now that it stood for Registered Nurse..DUH! right?? lol Slow-mo moment...sorry! But this show looks like it just might be something promising to shape up the career of Will Smith's wifey after all.
Jada plays Christina Hawthorne, who is the Chief Nursing Officer heading up a diverse group of dedicated nurses at Richmond Trinity Hospital. She is the kind of nurse you would want to take care of you at a hospital for she is dedicated, caring, and will never let a patient down or die without a fight of trying to save their life. Aside from being a hard-working nurse Hawthorne must also juggle life as a single mother for her husband deceased just a year ago, leaving her to raise on her own, a rebellious, smart teen-age daughter. Hawthorn must find the time to take care of her patients and daughter at the same time while also trying to focus on the happiness of someone else...herself.
This show has an array of Actors and Actresses from various tv shows and from the commericials it looks like it might just be worth watching so PLEASE when June 6, 2009 hits PLEASE watch!!!...After all this is really like the only new sitcom with a Black lead that we have gotten in a LONG LONG time so support the homegirl Jada.
